HireUco Inc. ("HireU," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (www.hireu.app), mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

Please read this Privacy Notice carefully. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this notice. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Notice, please do not access the Platform.

Important Notice: This Privacy Notice applies to all users of HireU's services, including Clients and Providers. By using HireU, you consent to the data practices described in this notice. We may update this notice periodically - your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account Information: - Name (first and last) - Email address (including .edu email for verification) - Password (stored in encrypted form) - Profile photo - Phone number - College or university affiliation Provider Information (if you offer services): - Service descriptions and pricing - Portfolio images and work samples - Skills and categories - Availability and scheduling preferences Payment Information: - Payment card information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers) - Bank account information for payouts - Billing address - Tax information (W-9, SSN last 4 digits for tax reporting) Communications: - Messages between Clients and Providers - Customer support inquiries - Reviews and ratings - Feedback and survey responses

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device and Usage Information: - Device type, operating system, and browser type - IP address - Unique device identifiers - App version - Pages visited, features used, and actions taken - Date and time of access - Referring URLs Location Information: - General location based on IP address - Precise location (with your permission) for in-person service matching - Campus or university location

1.3 Information from Third Parties

Google Calendar Integration: - Free/busy time blocks only (to prevent scheduling conflicts) - we do not access event titles, descriptions, or attendees - We create calendar events on your behalf when bookings are confirmed - OAuth tokens are stored securely in our encrypted database - We only access your primary calendar - We never share your calendar data with third parties Authentication Providers: - If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information as permitted by those services Payment Processors: - Transaction status and payment confirmations from Stripe

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: Provide and Improve Our Services: - Create and manage your account - Verify your college/university affiliation - Facilitate connections between Clients and Providers - Process Orders and payments - Enable scheduling and calendar synchronization - Display reviews and ratings Communications: - Send Order confirmations and updates - Notify you about new messages - Send reminders before scheduled sessions - Provide customer support - Send promotional messages (with your consent) Safety and Security: - Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents - Enforce our Terms of Service - Verify user identities - Comply with legal obligations Analytics and Improvement: - Analyze usage patterns to improve the Platform - Conduct research and development - Personalize your experience

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 With Other Users

- Profile Information: Your name, profile photo, ratings, reviews, and Provider details are visible to other users. - Order Information: When you place or accept an Order, relevant details are shared with the other party. - Messages: Communications through the Platform are shared between the parties involved.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf: - Stripe: Payment processing - Google: Calendar integration, analytics, authentication - Cloud Hosting: Data storage and infrastructure - Email/Push Services: Sending notifications - Analytics: Understanding usage patterns

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to: - Comply with legal process or government requests - Protect the rights, property, or safety of HireU, our users, or the public - Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues

3.4 Business Transfers

If HireU is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically: - Account Information: Retained until you delete your account - Transaction Records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance - Messages: Retained for 3 years after Order completion - Usage Logs: Retained for 2 years After account deletion, some information may be retained in anonymized form for analytics purposes or as required by law.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Account Settings

You can access and update your account information at any time through the app's Settings section.

5.2 Notification Preferences

You can control which notifications you receive in Settings, including: - New Orders - Reminders before scheduled sessions - Payment notifications - Reviews - Promotions and tips

5.3 Calendar Integration

You can connect or disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from Settings. When disconnected: - We immediately stop accessing your calendar data - Existing booking events remain on your calendar - Your stored OAuth tokens are marked as inactive We use two Google Calendar permissions: - calendar.freebusy: To check your availability and prevent double-bookings - calendar.events: To create booking events when appointments are confirmed We never share your calendar data with third parties.

5.4 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@hireu.app. Upon deletion: - Your profile will be removed from the Platform - Your personal information will be deleted or anonymized - Some information may be retained as required by law

5.5 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act: - Right to Know: Request information about the personal data we collect, use, and disclose - Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data - Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information - Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights To exercise these rights, contact privacy@hireu.app.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including: - Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest - Secure password hashing - Secure storage of OAuth tokens for third-party integrations - Regular security assessments - Access controls and authentication - PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

7. Children's Privacy

HireU is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly. 8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on the Platform and updating the "Last update" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
